Jeremiah 30:17

17 For I will restore health to you, and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.”

Today’s Inspiration: Last week as I prayed for health for the nation, I received the word ‘I will restore’. It was indeed a joy to hear this word from the heart of God. At once the scripture in Jeremiah 30:17 comes to mind about restoration of health to the nation and healing of her wounds through Father Me reparenting program. Only God’s word can restore health to us. To get back to health, we must change the image of sickness planted by the enemy to the image of health, the implanted word of the Lord. What is not planted by our heavenly Father will be uprooted. Matthew 15:13. It can be disease, poverty or broken relationship. Whatever it is, God can restore.

Yesterday I have the Word “Rejoice for I have made my choice to believe in the Lord.” Two scriptures came to mind- We are commanded to be joyful always. 1 Thessalonians 5:16. We are to rejoice always. Philippians 4:4. When the disciples returned to Jesus from a successful mission trip, they were filled with joy. Yet Jesus told them not to rejoice over success in ministry, but rejoice because their names are written in heaven. Luke 10:20. To Jesus, success in ministry is temporary but our names recorded in heaven has more value as they are eternal. Jesus values fruit in ministry.

Jesus clarified that the kingdom of God is not about feasting but about righteousness which is obedience to His will, peace and joy. Romans 14:17. Looking at verse 18 Paul wrote that without joy, our life will not be pleasing to God and acceptable to man. Nehemiah 8:10 the joy of the Lord is our strength.

The one truth that blocks joy is the sinful attitudes in our hearts. Sin breaks the Communion of Adam with God and the enjoyment of His presence. When David was convicted of his sin by Nathan, he immediately confessed and asked God to restore the joy of His salvation, Psalm 51:12 and not to cast him away from His presence and do not take His Holy Spirit from him. V11. The fruit of godly character of joy cannot exist when sin attitudes control our hearts. All sins be they attitude or action must be dealt with before the virtue of joy can be restored in our hearts. Therefore have joy this morning and rejoice because you are a citizen of His Royal kingdom. God be praised.
