17 For He crushes me with a tempest, and multiplies my wounds without cause.
18 He will not allow me to catch my breath, but fills me with bitterness.
Today’s Inspiration: If He can command the sun and seals off the Stars (Job 9:7) what can’t he do? He takes away, who can hinder Him? Who can say to Him’What are you doing?’ v12. The higher the calling the greater trial! He crushed Job with a tempest and multiplied his wounds without a cause, not even allowing him to catch his breath but fills him with bitterness. V17-18. Such is our God when He tests our righteousness and uprightness. The suddenlies will come catching us unaware in the end days just as Jesus will come on the night unexpected.
In chapter 10 he pleaded but with no avail until his eyes were opened to a Revelation of who God truly is. Yet behind all these trials is a loving Father who loves His children wanting them to be obedient and act in faith and not in fear, acting fervently in the spirit rather than in the flesh, in diligence rather than in complacency.
In times like this, we wonder where God is. Job at one stage could not even withstand the trials that were torturous to him and wished he would have died in his mother’s womb.
This message is not only for those suffering in pain emotionally or physically but as lessons for those who are well. God will not spare His chosen one and expect us to live up to His standards and suffer for His name’s sake.
Notwithstanding the trials, God assured us that after the trial, we will bud again. Job 14:9. Hopes may have been crushed but God never gave up on us and will grant us victory over sickness, diseases, degeneration, financial failure, any forms of depression finally. Just thank God for His chastening and in due time He will redeem. God be praised!
