Revelation 22:12

12  “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

Today’s Inspiration:There are endless reasons of how we do our work for Christ but only few are going to count at the Judgement seat of Christ. First and foremost it should be out of our deep responsive love for Christ. How do we do it? Willingly, gladly with all my heart, with no reserve or holding back? The how and what sort of work have we produce will depend on whether we hear the words, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant, thou had been faithful servant, thou had been faithful over a few things…. Enter thou into the joy of the Lord.’ Matthew 25:21, 23.

As for the rewards, the Bible had no indication. All we know of the reward is in heaven. He will give everyone according to His work. Revelation 22:12, 1 Corinthians 3:14.

It’s not how much, or how big, how you do the work for Him on Earth, but simply the manner in which you set about your work for Christ. We have to ask ourselves if we want to serve God because we want to be in the limelight or simply in obedience to His call? Do we serve as a job, with dedication or because we are expected to do? What is the reason for serving Him?

All that would count at the Judgement seat of Christ is the manner in which you serve God. 1 Corinthians 3:13. Take heed of how you build His temple and the manner in which you set your work for Christ. There is no fear of God in professing Christians. The flesh always wants to have his own way whether bad or good. Man is always desiring to do things independently without subjecting themselves to the control of God. It is for this reason that submission to local authority is difficult even though it’s mandatory in Romans 13:1. Man is always defying God.

Reflect today how are you serving God? God be praised if God has found your serving worthy.
