Matthew 6:25

25  “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Today’s Inspiration: Do not worry about your life, your provision nor your body condition. Aren’t you of more value than the birds whom the Lord feeds daily? Your heavenly Father knows your needs before you put your request to Him. Matthew 6:25, 6:8. Instead seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added upon you. Matthew 6:33.

We tend to look at the meaning of life from a painful and isolated place. The meaning of life is actually connected to a purpose. To know the purpose, we must connect to the source, our God who plans and directs our life.

The Book of Ruth opens up with a tragedy – Naomi losing her husband and two sons- cutting off her source of supply of provision. Most people will go into suicidal thoughts and into depression and self-pity. But it is not so with Naomi and Ruth. Ruth’s determination to leave her homeland with Naomi shows her commitment and priority of relationship. Naomi chose faith in God of Israel over her family. She knew famine was a product of the flesh and natural by-product of sin, judgement imposed upon themselves through disobedience. She clings to Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.

In choosing God and His ways which are higher than ours in Isaiah 55:8-9, we can rest in knowing that He will provide for us. He will cover us and return to redeem us no matter how bad our situation is. God wants total allegiance to His word and commandment. John 15:1. Naomi and Emimelech failed in their allegiance. They chose to satisfy their fleshy desires than to trust God to provide. Isaac sowed during times of famine and reaped 100-fold. Genesis 26:12.

Scripture is the pathway of knowing Him well. Steadfastness, commitment to the relationship with Him, commitment to hearing and studying the Bible and quiet time with the Lord will help you grow in the Lord.

John 15:7 we are to abide in Him. By abiding in Him, our path is smooth. Obedience attracts blessings and is a primary vital attribute of God. Deuteronomy 28:1-14.

Love, obedience and unity is the hallmark of godliness required from every believer. Know pruning process is necessary before we can be productive. Just do not fear. God knows what we need. Pruning also draws family relationship closer. When David prays, he prays the answer to his needs. Psalm 30:2 he prays God heals him. Look at Psalm 118:8-9 He cried to the Lord in distress and the Lord answered. Then he goes into next verse the Lord is on his side, he will not fear. What can man do to him?

So whatever you desire, pray the answer and declare the enemy has no authority over you. In His time, God will make all things beautiful. Ecclesiastes 3:1. There is a time for everything.
