21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Oneness is the way to go. By this, we bring glory to God’s name. David was always one with God as you can read from his psalms. These gave him revelational knowledge and boldness even to the extent of fighting the giant Goliath in the name of the Lord with the weapon that has brought him victory all the time and not with spears or swords. Oneness with God brings victory.
As born again believers we have authority over every aspect of our life but many a time we do not exercise this authority. We have overlooked the fact that we are one in Christ. We need to be one in God so that satan has no foothold over our life and we walk humbly always. Adam failed to exercise this right and did not stop Eve from listening to satan.
Pride and stubbornness which is an iniquity and sin of idolatry aa declared by Samuel to Saul, will cause us to lose our status and all that we have. Saul instead of ruling the kingdom was filled with jealousy and fearful of David ascending to the throne after many prophetic acts were illustrated.
God meant man to have wisdom, revelational knowledge and wholesome tongue. Our lips is supposed to bear fruit. Pro 13:2 and 3. When condemning or judgemental words come out of a person’s mouth, its the work of satan using someone as the transgressor to provoke you. You should instead resist the enemy by shutting the door and not responding. Instead pray that God will transform the lips to that which will speak blessing all the time.
One was the woman singing that David was more mighty than Saul. Another was how David was spared from death and won the hearts of many including his wife Michal and his enemy’s son Jonathan. Finally in a conversation between David and Saul in 1 Samuel 18.24 Saul knew God favored and has chosen David. He declared that David would surely be king and that the Kingdom of Israel shall be established in his hand. This ultimately came to fulfillment.
Have you ever reflect on the prophetic acts that confirm your calling or divine direction? Is this message speaking to you?
