Joel 2:19, 21

19 The LORD will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, and you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.

21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the LORD has done marvelous things!

Today’s Inspiration: Understand that God is the only one who can defeat your enemies. You may be facing difficult situation now but know one thing God will never forsake His children. We need to remember that at the Cross we see the ultimate victory over our enemies. Joel 2.19-21. His call to us is not to fear and not to quit. He is our strength and shelter. Joel 3.16. He has called you to righteousness. Isaiah 42:6-8.

We need to learn lessons from our trial and know that God is good. God is looking for those who would truly repent not merely for outward show but an inward, sincere, heart- rending brokenness. When Israel sin, God used prophet Joel to call out to the people to gather in solemn assembly in which they fast, pray and cry out for His mercy and forgiveness.

As we see sin in the nation or even the church, we need to heed Joel’s exhortations and cry out corporately for our generation. Let us cry out to God and ask Him to give us spiritual eyes to see the multitudes on the crossroad in the valley of decision. Let us pray that His coming be hastened and the church will earnestly seek the Lord and seek those who do not know Jesus so that they might come to salvation. Joel 3.9-16.

God alone has supplied everything we need for salvation and for a completely restored relationship with Him. We need to rejoice and be glad. It is God who provides us the ability to bear much fruit both naturally and spiritually. Joel 2:21-24. Ask God to restore every place in your life that had been broken or made barren because of sin and praise Him for His righteousness. Verses 25-27.

By faith we will prosper again physically and spiritually. It’s all due to your faith that surpasses all understanding. It’s your faith that heals you and your faith that delivers you from bondage. Jesus performed miracles because of faith of the people. God is always wanting to replace His people’s natural understanding with spiritual understanding. Romans 12:2. In the natural your situation seems impossible.

The people of Israel was in the same position as you but in their hopelessness they cry out rending their hearts not their garments and God intervenes and what an awesome miracle! Crossing the red sea was an impossible task with the Egyptians fiercely in pursuit of them but as Moses lifted up his hand and cries out with the people, the Red Sea opened and closed very timely. God is our shelter and protector. Do you need a red sea experience? If so have faith and trust Him with all your heart. Surrender to His will. Commit your plans to Him and you will succeed. Proverbs 16:3.
