Today’s Inspiration: Anger destroys friendship and opportunities much to our regret. Anger is a slow killer without our knowledge. How important it is to conquer negative emotions like anger so as to attain divine health! Angry people are prone to heart attacks and stroke. We always forget that God’s eyes are on us daily. Proverbs 15:3.
A quick tempered man does foolish things. Proverbs 14:17. How true it is! It destroys Good relationships and turns away opportunities. It is therefore wise to watch our words. Be careful what you listen. Harsh words arouses anger. How many times have we been provoked to anger? Proverbs 15:1. If you cannot curb anger, it will control you.
Anger is only in the hearts of fools. Proverbs 14:29. If you feel anger escalating, then you should take a brisk walk or spend time doing things you enjoy. A quiet time with God calms your nerves and prepares you to handle what is ahead without anger.
You must learn to be patient. Psalm 40:1 requires us to wait patiently. Patience enables you to state your concerns and needs clearly and directly without hurting others or trying to control.
Think before you speak. The tongue of the wise spreads knowledge but the mouth of the fool gushes folly. Proverbs 15:2. Only a gentle answer can turn away wrath. Verse 1. We need to have a tongue that brings healing not wrath. Verse 4.
Work on solution and remind yourself that anger don’t fix anything. It makes the situation worse. Have a heart of peace. Don’t hold grudges. Take every angry situation as lessons learnt for strengthening of relationships. Seek self control. Leave anger before it destroys you.
