1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Today’s Inspiration: The world was created with the word of God. We all know Jesus was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Jesus was God who came as a man to the Earth to redeem the human race and to present to us the full character of God. In Him we have life and the life was the light of man. Part of His character was the power of His voice recorded in the scriptures. It’s the word of God that brings confusion and chaos to His Divine order when He first created the world. Genesis 1:1-3. John illustrates that the word of God was God Himself. John 1:1. Hence if God is the word, don’t you think we should read and meditate on the word, ponder and reflect what the word (God) is speaking to us daily as we wake up? When Jesus (Word) speaks it has power. When Jesus spoke, He carried great authority. When Jesus spoke to the grave to let go of Lazarus, life starts flowing through Lazarus. John 11:43. His voice was so powerful that even death and decay were overcome and destroyed.
God’s voice had great power to bring us out of the ruins of our past and set us on track. Joel 2:25 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust have eaten. Jeremiah 33:6 I will restore health and healing, I will heal them and reveal the abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 30:17. God will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds. These two verses shows God has a plan not only to go back to the event of your wounds to heal the trauma of your past but also to restore your future in verse 19.
He brings Peter back to the time he first denied him three times over the fire. Matthew 26:69-74. In John 21:9-17 Jesus released him from guilt and shame over a fire three times with His love. Here unconditional love is demonstrated and healing and Deliverance needs to get back into traumatic event to heal the emotional disturbances planted by the enemy in our life.
From these events, you also know that Communion with God is foremost in God’s heart from Genesis to Revelation. When we commune with God daily, we must record what He speaks to us, the principles and precepts deep down in our hearts. With the application of His word, we attract a testimony that helps us to overcome our enemy who is trying to distract us from God’s calling. Once we are delivered and restored miraculously, we have experienced God’s faithfulness in performing His word and we have Spiritual inner courage to refute the lies of the enemy, thereby bringing us to the next pathway of life with Our Lord Jesus.
The enemy cannot stand the Blood of Jesus that redeemed us nor the word of testimony nor God’s voice spoken to our hearts which are spirit and life to us. Revelation 12:11, John 6:63. His word has power to convict and transform us to greater glory. It is for this reason that we need to commune with Him daily to know who He is.
Jesus proved He was God when He answered the question of Phillip ‘Show us your Father’. John 14:8. Jesus replied in verse 9 that he was with Him all along yet he does not know that the Father is in Him and He in the Father. The words He speak to us He did not speak on His own authority but the Father who is in Him does the work. V10. Likewise when we are in Christ we don’t live for ourselves but for Him and through Him. 1 John 4:10. We do what the word tells us. He was teaching them how they are to work with the Holy Spirit on His Ascension.
So it is important to commune with God daily by meditating and reflecting on His word. It is through meditation of His word, pondering and reflecting what He is speaking to us daily that touched God’s heart like David did in Psalm 27:4-6.
Therefore we can only be effective if we dwell daily in His word and follow His directions to us through His word. The more you read His word, the more you know what to do next. The more you read His word and pray and speak the word to your spirit daily, the deeper the intimacy with Him. This intimacy brings the word spoken to your spirit alive and empowers you to walk and operate effectively and bring people closer to God heart.
It’s His word that changes the image of your thoughts of who you are in Christ and enables you to live a triumphant life daily. God be praised.
