40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
Today’s Inspiration: Some of God’s promises may not yet been fulfilled in your life and you wonder why. Then it’s time to reflect on the measure of your belief. Jesus assured his audience that God will perform His glory if they believe. The belief must come from the heart and not just mere words uttered from your lips and the impossible became possible. John 11:40, Mark 9:23. God has always assured us that He will be with us wherever we go. Joshua 1:9. He assured Jacob He will watch over you wherever he goes. Genesis 28:15. Jacob believes and so does Joshua and what an immense wealth they gathered.
Moses had only one mission and that is to free the slaves in Egypt and lead them to the Promised land promised on oath by God to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He also promised an angel before him to drive out all the seven nations before him that purportedly were landmines that will hinder our mission if we are not watchful. Exodus 33:2. The story of Moses is a reminder to us to be watchful over the landmines that the enemy set out to ensnare us. These landmines are our negative emotions we find it difficult to conquer as our mind tend to wander when times get tough.
Anger is one landmine that was planted from the beginning of time when satan successfully took dominion of the earth from Adam. Rebellion of people is one landmine that caused us to focus and in our attempt to please our opponent, we took our focus off the goal. No matter what happened, we should not take away our focus off our goal so that we are able to accomplish the goal in our life.
Therefore no matter how difficult your journey maybe, don’t flee. Many failed because they panic at every testing. In Numbers 32:13 the Lord’s anger was against the Israelites who wander for 40 years in unbelief and the whole generation of those done evil in His sight died missing the promise.
God always uses our wounds of formative years as a ministry of healing and deliverance.
If you are suffering pain, don’t have fear. Just believe that for every pain, a calling to serve with honour is due. It’s time to discover your calling and purpose through your pain. We do not like pain but it’s good to restore our soul. Moses was privileged to receive his restoration directly from the Lord towards the end of his life. Indeed transformation to wholeness is a process. Deuteronomy 32:48-50, Deuteronomy 34:5-9. It depends on how long a journey of rebellion ends. It’s good to get out now and walk with God’s gifts and talents for your calling. It’s an honour to be called servant of God but we need to be careful how we serve.
Galatians 5:1. It was for freedom that Christ has set you free so do not revert back to bondage again. Trust God with all your heart to deliver you from all your problems. Proverbs 3:5.
