Proverbs 8:34-35

34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, wWatching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

35 For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord

Today’s Inspiration: There is nothing better in life than to be highly favoured by the Lord. Declare it over your life as you put Jesus into your heart always. Proverbs 8:35. When you have His favour, you have everything you desire.

Let your lips always speak of excellent things whenever you open your mouth to speak. Let the words of your mouth be with righteousness. Whatever words coming out from your mouth comes from your inner thoughts. Verses 6-8. Whatever you think and say will be the results you will receive. Therefore make wise choices today as they determine your future. Many people are defeated because of wrong choices in life. They seem to be good choices to find out in the end that it was a trap of the enemy.

Speaking the oracles of God is the safest way of life. It is pleasant to the hearers and nourishes the soul.

The Book of James reminds us in 4:14 that our life is like a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Our life is in the hands of God. Whatever He wills will come to fruition. So let us bloom where He has planted us.

Psalm 62:1-2 encourages us to find rest for our soul as we can rely on Him. Many a time we reason within ourselves as to why we cannot achieve. This is self-centredness and self -pity. Where there is a will there is a way. Our success depends not on our circumstances but by the will of God and our passion to achieve. Waiting without action is fruitless. Are we pursuing our destiny or still the temporal things of the world?

Verse 2 clearly tells us He is our Rock and our Salvation, and our fortress. We should not be shaken by people’s attitudes and motives. They are there just to alert us to watch and pray.

Perseverance in times of trial is the wise counsel of James. The Lord is very compassionate and merciful. Like Job, the reward is better in the end than in the beginning as he declared prophetically in Job 8:7 during trial. So whatever you decree will come to pass. Therefore do good to others always so that good will come to you. Whatever you sow you reap. Galatians 6:7.

To him who knows how to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. James 4:17. Are you being tested? Just speak to your situation the results you desire. Do not moan or grumble in self-pity which is a sin.

May the grace of our Lord and peace and mercy be with you today!
