Exodus 15:26

26  and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Today’s Inspiration: 75 percent of the Lord’s ministry was healing the sick for He is the Lord Jehovah Rapha who heals. Exodus 15:26. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. Salvation was not a precondition for the Lord to heal. A good example is found in Luke 17.11-19. However those who are healed must give their life to Christ. I have a cancer patient who was healed but did not give her life to Christ. Few months later the Cancer returned and by the Grace of God she met me in a meeting and I brought her to Christ and she was healed. It has been five years now and she is still free of Cancer.

He healed the broken-hearted. Psalm 147:3. After resurrection, He appeared to Apostle Peter to heal his wounded soul- his emotions. Divinely over the fire Peter denied knowing the Lord three times (Luke 22:54-62) and over the Fire the Lord Jesus asked him whether he loved Him. John 21:15-17. God cannot use an unclean channel to bring forth the establishment of a church. We need to be healed of our past hurting emotions before we can be a vessel of honour used by God. We need to be cleansed from a defiled spirit and body and sanctify them. 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 2 Corinthians 7:1.

Peter was still full of remorse, gulit and hurting, uncertain of the future. His denial of the Lord was done in a split of a moment haunted by fear. It was fear that caused him to deny Jesus leading to remorse, guilt and inadequacy and these to Peter disqualifies him from serving God. These led him to return back to the plow which is fishing but without success. It is at a time of despair and crossroad that Jesus knew it was time to restore him as the timing was right.

Jesus led him to confess the denial and release his fear, his guilt, his shame, his inadequacy, the point of denial and ministered love to him. Our past is not a past. It is hidden in subconscious memory. We must allow the Lord to cleanse and purify us from everything that contaminates our body and spirit to perfect holiness our of reverence for God. 2 Corinthians 7:1. When we accept the Lord as our Lord and Saviour, we need to be set apart to be holy. Even Prophet Isaiah has to be cleansed of his guilt and sin through the seraphims’ cleansing of his lips before he could be used by God. Isaiah 6:6-8.

Our past hurting emotions must be healed before we can be a new creation taking on newness of life with Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17. The old must go before the new can come. Receive your healing today!
