12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Today’s Inspiration: In times of trials, we need to thank God as it’s His ways of getting our attention to transform our natural understanding to spiritual understanding. Trials are meant for us to test our patience, the fruit of the spirit. Temptation is an evil force that entices us to give way to our own desires instead of obedience to His commandments, which are the Laws that liberate us to attain the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12.
Judgement begins in the House of God. Obedience to the Laws of liberty brings forth blessings. It is written that judgement is without mercy to those who don’t show mercy for mercy triumphs over judgement. James 2:12-13. Therefore exercise mercy even on those who are weak or less privileged.
Faith alone is not enough to attract a breakthrough. The sick in the New testament times have faith. But if they don’t act by taking the initiative to press in to approach Jesus for healing, even though He is unreachable having been shrouded by the crowd, they would not have received their miracles. Faith therefore without efforts regardless of circumstances is dead. James 2:20.
Hence we should not only be hearers but doers of the word. When we are hearers only, we deceive ourselves. James 1:22. Given spiritual gifts as weapons of warfare, if we don’t operate them, people are not set free, neither will you be set free. We need the Holy Spirit to saturate our soul to catch hold of our spirit to flow with Him to touch the lives of others via our gifts. Three criteria were given to us for quality of trials. When we go through testing, we must be quick to hear the voice of God, slow to speak and slow to anger. Had Abraham not trained himself to hear the timely word of God, Isaac would have not been spared. It was his devotion to God and closeness to Him that he could heed and obeyed His instructions on time.
So learn to hear God’s spirit, learn to obey His voice, have faith and act according to His will, then all will be well with you. When you are desperate, you will never fail to act. God be praised.
