28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Today’s Inspiration: It is important to reflect how much fruit we have borne. Statistics have shown that more than half of the Christians bear little or no fruit. Some bear some fruit. Only 5 percent bear a lot of fruits. Bearing fruit is the destiny of every believer.
From the very beginning of time we are told to be fruitful and multiply. Genesis 1:28. The vine’s ability to bear more fruit increases year by year. Without intensive pruning, the plant weakens and crops diminish. Mature branches must be pruned to achieve maximum yields. John 15:2. Mature pruning is likened to testing of your faith to perfect your trust in the Lord. God is pruning you to perfection so that you will lack nothing and will always have fruits. James 1:3-4.
God is faithfully working to make room to add strength, productivity and spiritual power in your life. His goal is to bring you closer to the image of Christ. Tests of faith and various trials and hardships invite you to surrendering something of great value to God even if you have the right not to. John 15.4-5. Pruning had its ultimate priceless result. Psalm 66:10,12.
Look at Job for instance. How fruitful he was after the pruning better than when he first started. Job 42.
Are you going through severe trials now? Every trial you face is an opportunity to let God work in your life for abundance. What is God’s promise to you? Like a tree, pruning is seasonal but the quantity and the quality of the future harvest depends on our submission to the Vine dresser. A season is coming when you are no longer under his shears but amazing evidence of personal transformation and expanded ministry for God results. Isaiah 54:2-3.
Wherever you are, God is with you. Joshua 1:9. Commit your plans to Him. Proverbs 16:3.
