2 Chronicles 15:2

The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

Today’s Inspiration: 2 Chronicles 5.1-2 “… The Lord is with you, if you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you,” It is important to realise that the prayer ministry is the most important ministry in the church today. Prayer creates the atmosphere of His glory and binds the power of darkness so the Gospel of Jesus Christ can go forward and the Church prospers. Therefore we should come together in prayer to change the atmosphere of the church, our families and our workplace. We must bathe every work in prayer.

Christianity as we know is a relationship with God and His people. The health of our faith depends on this relationship. If we claim to have fellowship with God then we should be fellow- shipping with God’people, walking in the light and should not be walking in darkness. Walking in the light means the ability to fellowship with one another and the Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins. If we claim we’re have no sins, the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:6-8.

Just as the parts of our body have to be properly joined to each other for the blood to flow through them, the same is true of His Body the Church. The life of the flesh is in the Blood. Leviticus 17:11. This means His life will flow through the Church that is properly intertwined together. We should not waver in the faith when we fellowship together in unity.

True Christian discipleship is a life devoted to following Christ and being changed into His image. Change requires time. Coming to Christ does not mean you automatically change to His image. We need to cultivate which requires preparation of the soil, planting, watering, weeding, protection from parasites, trimming and pruning then harvesting at the proper time. To grow into a good fruit of the spirit takes much planning and careful work.

Psalm 37:3-6 requires us to trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Commit your ways to Him and delight yourself in Him and He will bring forth your righteousness as the light.

You maybe extremely gifted but if you waver, the roots will not grow deep enough to bear significant fruit of the spirit.

Our ultimate goal is to grow in His nature and doing His work than anything else in our lives. Soon after He created man He blessed them and proclaim that they be fruitful and multiply. Genesis 1:28. This means bearing fruit, fruit that will last so that whatever you ask in Jesus name He may give you. John 15:16.

We must grow to be the full fruit of the spirit especially work to attain love, patience and self- control which are the most difficult fruit to attain. He ended up with v17 to love one another and together be sanctified by the truth in John 17:17. This was the legacy he left behind the day before He was arrested. God be praised!
