33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
Today’s Inspiration: Jeremiah 31:33-34 The covenant that the Lord made with Israel after those days is to put His law into the mind and write it on their hearts and He will be their God and they shall be His people. How important is this promise! Godly character and renewal of mind can only be attained through impregnation of His word to the heart and the mind.
When we read and meditate on His word, an awakening of the spirit must follow that transform our heart to His righteousness. Faith cannot be inspired without His word bringing a Revelation to us that necessitate a change or a good outcome.
V34 With this covenant all shall know Him from the least to the greatest for He will forgive their iniquity and their sins. He will remember their sins no more. Such a promise of the Messiah who know no sins but took on our sins to cavalry for our redemption.
It’s only at a time of extreme crisis that our hearts are awakened to His call.
As we come to Him, reading His word every morning, His word must be planted in our heart like a burning fire shut up in our bones that effect a change. Jeremiah 20:9. He is the one who see our mind and heart which David asked God to daily examine his heart and test His mind against His standard. Psalm 139:23-24. People reading the word does not effect a change from old nature to new creation because they read them with natural mind of natural understanding. Flesh cannot inherit the kingdom God.
2 Peter 3:11 Peter questioned us what type of person should we be but to be holy and pursue godliness looking for and hastening the day of God that comes like a thief. Whilst shut up in our home, let us reflect our life against the word and allow Him to convict us of the life that we should lead in the coming days of preparation for His second coming for God has already shown us the way to live through the knowledge of the life of Christ Jesus our Lord and His Divine nature of godliness. 2 Peter 1:3-4.
Do not conform to the world but be transformed by the renewal of the mind that you will know the perfect will of God holy and acceptable to Him. Romans 12:2. A life with our Lord Jesus is a life of Holiness and godliness in righteousness. This is the purpose the ten commandments were given to check our attitude towards God and that of the attitude towards self and others. Our life must be tested and examined with such attitude against the Law. Law however cannot save us. Mankind needs a Savior for our soul to be saved, sanctified and nourished for an everlasting life promised us in John 3:36.
God be praised for all those who work out their life in Holiness and godliness and righteous living that entitles them to be in His kingdom.
