13 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.
Today’s Inspiration: The Lord looks down on all mankind from His dwelling place and watched all who live on the Earth and knows all our hearts and everything we do. No one can hide secrets from Him. He will expose hidden sins. Psalm 33:13. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. V12. How can we ever run from His Spirit?
Seek peace and pursue it, is the tall order of the day. Where there is peace, there is prosperity. Psalm 34:14. If we desire long Life and love our life, we should take heed of our words each day. V13. Idle words are like what James described as tongue that corrupts the whole person and sets the whole course of his life like fire and is in itself set on fire by hell. James 3:6. So watch the door of your lips. Psalm 141:3.
Patience, a fruit of the spirit is what we should practise as it is a form of self control. Love which is of God is in itself patience. With patience, we are deemed a good listener which James says we should be quick to listen. James 1:19. When we are a good listener, we reflect what the whole issue is and then have wisdom to understand and resolve the perception. As a good listener, we are never easily provoked to anger but instead ponder what we speak and not react easily against people’s provocation or perception.
Patience grants us a heart of peace that gives life to the body. Proverbs 14:30. As a tree of Life, we need to speak words of health and healing. Proverbs 15:4.
What are you seeking for this morning? Id there conflicts within yourself between your spirit and your soul? The Lord’s counsel is to be still before Him and not to be anxious but to rely upon the Lord and in good or bad times give thanks and consider why the calamity hits you. Our heart knows our own bitterness and no one else can share it’s joy. Proverbs 14:10. So remove them. The good that we do will be rewarded. V14. Only a heart at peace can give life to the body. V30.
We may make plans from our heart but only the Lord knows if the plans will bear fruit. Many a time our way is not God’s ways. Even though a decision can be made through two or three confirmations, at times the words of the prophets are false. King Jehoshaphat on the advice of King Ahab relied on the 400 false prophets’ counsel and almost lost his life instead of hearing the voice of one true prophet. Thank God for His mercy that saved his life because God remembered he reinstated the Passover, which is a feast of the Lord. Though we are hampered from the celebration this year, we can celebrate them in our lifegroup or our houses like the days of Moses. Celebration of the Passover is for our Deliverance from the enemy’s bondage, salvation and healing. From biblical history, we know that after the Passover, we see prosperity as in the days of Hezekiah who prospered greatly after celebration of the Passover. 2 Chronicles 32:27. God be praised.
