47 And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him,
48 and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to hear Him..’
Today’s Inspiration: When Jesus speaks all the people are very attentive to hear Him. Luke 19:48. What about you? Who dare to question His authority? His answers are full of wisdom. If we are created in His image then we should have much wisdom and authority as long as we act according to what we hear from His Living word and the Bible His written word.
On our own we have no authority. All authority in heaven and earth is vested in Jesus. Matthew 28:18. Our ministry depends on the measure of our faith which is dependent on the length of time we spent with Him and our obedience. John 15:4.
Our authority to use His power is dependent on the intimacy we have with Him rather than our giftedness and talents. It is this intimacy that enables us to know His will, listen and align to it. Unless we align to His will, we cannot claim God’s promises as desired. Our purpose in life is to believe in Jesus Christ the breather of our life Genesis 2:7 and the Creator of our life Genesis 1:26, to obey His will and to bring Him glory. John 5:19. If Jesus can do nothing unless He does what He sees the Father do, we are to do likewise.
It is time to examine if our will aligns to His. We are authorised to do greater works John 14:12 and continues His work in authority. Luke 4:18-19.
We must continue to seek and work under the guidance of the Holy spirit. Ask him to bring to light whatever needs to be addressed before we can be effective in ministry. We must take authority over the forces of darkness who tried to distract us. It is a deep abiding peace and our fruit of the Spirit especially self control without reactions that can help us overcome the fiercest forces of the enemy. Only when we are free from remembrances that we have the voice of authority to draw people to God. Victory lies in who we are in Christ Jesus the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. It is not what we know but the revelation of who He truly is and the power of His resurrection that makes us an overcomer. This is also the desire of Apostle Paul. Philippians 3:10.
