Philippians 1:9-10

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ…

Today’s Inspiration: The reason why families are under the greatest assault of the devil today is because it is the most powerful force and therefore a threat to his domain of darkness. When Christians grow spiritually, their families get stronger in love and unity and power. Likewise with the churches. Without love, accurate knowledge is not possible. Philippians 1:9-10. Apostle Paul prayed that our love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ.

True Christian maturity is measured by our love for God and our love and tolerance of others. Without this love, we will be lacking in knowledge, understanding and discernment. We will also be easily led astray.

Year 2020 we need to pray more for oneness of families as God is going to strengthen families into oneness with Him. Therefore we should start working on this for Christ family then our family. We need to take all families for Jesus.

The family needs to be spirit filled. A spirit filled family is not easily shaken by the storms of life as they walk in the fullness of God together. A spirit-filled life is one without carnality and without compromising. God told Joshua to be strong and courageous since he spent so much time in the Tabernacle with Moses in Exodus 33:11. If you are spirit filled, you fear God not men. You serve people instead of fearing them.

Samuel rebuked Saul for fearing the enemies’ onslaught and contravened the law of making sacrifices to God. He could not wait for Samuel. 1 Samuel 15:22.

Initially he was spirit filled but over time he lost the anointing because of his jealousy of David where he found David a threat to his throne. The close trust, appreciation and protection of David was lost because of people’s singing praises to David more than him. Saul allowed agitation of the enemy to enter the door of his heart. God sees through his heart with David’s heart and instructed Samuel to anoint David as king. God is always looking at our heart. 1 Samuel 16:7. May our heart be steadfast and loyal to our Lord our God eternally.
