8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [a]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Today’s Inspiration: Acts 1:8 is clear that when we receive the Holy Spirit, power is bestowed upon us to be His witness to the Gentiles which covers prebelievers and backsliders as well. We have also seen so much signs and hear so much prophecies on the urgency of times. Going back to our first love, and calling and basic foundation is the heart cry of the heart of God which I have released in the last quarter of last year. With the onslaught of present uncertainty, God’s people should not conform to the world’s standard but God’s standard and be His ambassador to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom and to declare the majestic power of God. It’s this declaration that God can surprise the devil with His wisdom. Satan thought he has won the battle against God when Jesus was humiliated and hung on the cross. Little did he know that God would use the cross to liberate mankind from death, hell and the grave. It was for freedom that our Lord Jesus has set us free. Galatians 5:1. God can do it again by using what we purport to be our defeat to be the instrument of His grace to bring His victory and authority.
We cannot see what God has prepared for us who love Him. God can only reveal to us His wisdom way ahead of time only we have intimacy with Him through prayer. The wisdom revealed will then overthrow and dismantle Satan’s demonic structure and dethrone thrones of iniquity. Satan would love to bar us from seeking God so that we have no access to God’s wisdom. When we don’t position ourselves to hear His voice, we have no strategy for the next move of God.
Joshua has to linger in the throne room for wisdom as to how to lead His people and God told him to meditate on His promises for strategies of success.
Meditation of His word takes time. Meditation involves connection to God for Revelation of what He is saying in His word. Meditation is the link between reading scriptures, provoking thoughts on the scriptures, reflection and prayer. In meditation, God reveals to us the landmines to avoid to progress to the next destination. The landmines are something very close to our heart we have to lay aside, which we are not prepared to part with. Failing to do so hinders our progress. In meditation, we are to truly depend upon the Holy Spirit to guide us in our journey. It’s through meditation that our mind is renewed, our soul is refreshed, our faith is enhanced and the inner courage elevated to move. This what God meant when He spoke to Joshua in Joshua 1:8-9.
David meditates a lot and linger in the House of God praising Him even in times of adversity, disregarding the threats of the enemy and even though the action to be taken didn’t make sense, he obeyed and miraculously won the battles that seem invincible to conquer./span>
As God’s people, we don’t depend on our own intellect, skill or strength but under the command of God attainable only through meditative prayer. Apostle Peter also always tells Jesus that it’s impossible to find fish at that hour and definitely not on the side He instructed, but at His command he will do it. Luke 5:5. What a miraculous catch that were discovered! Our ways are not God’s ways as Isaiah quoted in Isaiah 55:8.
It’s no use meditation upon the word and getting instructions from the Lord and fear acting in faith in obedience. We will never fulfill our prophetic destiny otherwise.
Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22. The scepter of the wicked will not rest on the land allotted to the righteous. Psalm 125:3. Let’s get back to basic foundation of prayer. God be praised!
