Romans 11:29

29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable., to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.”

Today’s Inspiration: Romans 11:29. For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. God’s plan of calling Israel into existence to be the vehicle of the world’s redemption never changed. God is a covenant God. He never goes back on His word. Similarly when God called you to a position, no one can thwart His plans for you. This is why Nehemiah tells the enemy that the God of heaven will give him success and they will have no hand on his calling to build the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah 2:20. Because of his confidence that when God calls, He protects and provides which is dependent on his belief, he remained undeterred despite so much threats from the enemy abusing their authority.

If we trust Him totally, we will not look into the circumstances we are in nor respond to the threats of the enemy. If the Lord is our confidence, we will not be moved but accomplish God’s plan for us. Proverbs 3:26.

God’s ultimate plan is to form a people for Himself and the Nations. Is anything too difficult for Him? When enquired, Jesus answered, with God, all things are possible. Luke 1:37. In Mark 9:23 He answered, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’ Most of the prophecies of Old testament have been fulfilled by Jesus in the New testament. This alone shows His faithfulness to all the words that were promised in the Bible. None of the prophecies will return to Him void and this is His promise in Isaiah 55:11. If you are still waiting for the promises to you to be fulfilled, please be assured by Him that it will not tarry but He will surely bring to pass. Ezekiel 12:28.

Jesus came to our life to burn away pride, anger, greed and self-righteousness and brings to birth love, peace and generosity. Even John acknowledges that Jesus came to baptise us with purifying refining spirit. Matthew 3:11. John’s baptism cleansed the outside but Jesus fiery baptism purifies, consumes and cleanses the heart. This is why we must come to Him daily to purify our heart especially this year where God is calling us to purity.

If you feel God has bypassed you, erase this thought. His gifts and calling is irrevocable. You just have to act in boldness in operating the gifts and not have it stored away for fear of what men think. He has His time and season to prepare your heart and your walk with Him like He did the Israelites in the wilderness. God be praised.
