11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
If God’s promises to Abraham for His descendants is brought to pass,, won’t He bring His promises to you to pass? Pas 105:42-46.
There is nothing better for a man to desire than wisdom. For with wisdom comes riches, honour and life (Pro 8:11) as you can see from the life of King Solomon. People came from afar with riches to seek His counsel.
A person with wisdom speak excellent things and his or her lips speaks only righteously. This is why God’s word which is full of wisdom that convicts and transforms our hearts, that we might see good days, is unmatchable. Verse 11. Nothing crooked or perverse words should come from our mouth. Speak only words that are righteous. Verse 8.
To be able to have self control of our tongue is God’s grace and mercy. James says if anyone does not stumble, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his body. Jam 3:2.
Wisdom of man cannot be compared to wisdom of God, which is heavenly and enters our heart with purity. Words of wisdom are gentle, peaceable, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. If you want peace then have the fruit of righteousness. Jam 3:17.
Many Christians today still speak vulgarity and speak words like the world full of anger, ready to devour his opponent. This is demonic and folly. We should be teachable and correctable. God hates a boastful tongue, which is full of arrogance. Whoever loves instruction, loves knowledge but those who hate correction and insists their way, the Bible says he is a fool. Pro 12:1. So only speak God’s word to one another and sow peace so you will have peace.
