10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
Today’s Inspiration: Who can understand the heart of man except the Lord? It is God who search the heart of man and examine their mind. They will be rewarded according to what their deeds deserve. Jeremiah 17:9-10. How rebellious is a man’s heart? How can God entrust His treasures to a man when a simple task of instruction cannot be performed? An agreement with man is a covenant with God.
The Israelites refused to heed the instruction of the Lord and He declared that He will hand them over to the king of Babylon together with all their wealth, all the treasures of the king of Judah. Jeremiah 20:4-5. This warning was not taken heed and this prophecy came to pass.
How many times did God stress on obedience? Deuteronomy 12:28 Moses declared that as long as we obey the commandments of God, all will go well with us and our children after us and as long a we do right and good in the eyes of the Lord. Deuteronomy 12:32 we are to do only what is commanded to us. We are not to add or take away from any of the commandments.
Disobedience carries a handsome price. Adam was banished from the Garden of Eden. Lucifer and one third of the angels were kicked out from the heavens and kings are being deposed from their office and ousted from their position. Isaiah 22:19. It is dreadful to be subject to the fury of God.
God allowed these trials to transform us. He is the potter. We are their clay. Jeremiah 18:3-10. Whether he heals or not depends on His sovereign choice. Let obedience overtake you that all be well with you. God be praised!
