1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound…”
Today’s Inspiration: Isaiah 61:1 it is written that the Spirit of the Lord is upon us, and we have been anointed to preach Good News, heal the broken-hearted and proclaim liberty to the captives and have them released from bondage. Mark 16:17 states that we in Christ will act and signs and wonders will follow. It all depends on our belief. Throughout Jesus’ministry, He speaks about our belief that Jesus is the healer. Overtime advancement of medical science has caused us to have half belief. Half truths is unbelief. We need to believe in the physical as well as in the spiritual to manifest the gift of the spirit of the working of miracles. Whatever things we ask, if we pray believing for a miracle we will have them. Mark 11:24.
The important key to open heavens is to have faith in God in v22 followed by belief. It’s a word from the Lord that matters. Faith comes by hearing, hearing the word of God. (Romans 10:17). Often in our prayer for healing, we focus on the problems. We must focus and call upon the Healer, His purpose for the affliction and where it will lead to. Often when He uttered the word ‘ I will restore’ we never focus on the spiritual interpretation of this word. All we focus on is God’s assurance to get rid of our affliction without wondering how He was going to do it. Often when He said these words, He meant He will go back to our past wounds to heal the past wounds and also to bring us to advance to His future plan for you, for which He will reveal. Jeremiah 30:17.
God’s voice has power to restore as spoken by prophet Joel in Joel 2:25. God’s word certainly must impregnate our spirit so that it will penetrate into our whole being before we can see a miracle. Until we Glean truths from the scripture, it will not illuminate and quicken our spirit to believe.
What changed Esther’s mind to stand in the gap for the Jews in Persia? The edict that Haman requested from the King cannot be revoked once it is sealed with the signet ring of the King. Esther 3:12. How can the earlier edict be revoked? It is written that it cannot be revoked once sealed with a signet ring. Esther 8:8. Only God can overturn man’s edict.
All it takes is a word of God through Mordecai reminding her that she is a Jew and she will not be spared either. Who knows she was made queen at a time like this? Esther 4:12. Do you feel your appointment at your workplace has God’s purpose to thwart the enemy’s wicked schemes?
It was the word of Mordecai that she decided to stand in the gap asking Mordecai to call for three days fasting prayer with her and her entourage. At the end of it, the spirit of the Lord gave her the plans and strategies and boldness to have audience with the King who alone could give orders to make the plans God placed in her mind to work.
