Joel 2:13

13  So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.

Today’s Inspiration: Rend your heart not your garments. When you do that, who knows He will leave behind a blessing. Joel 2:13. Still on the subject of abiding, we like to stress that in abiding, what happens outwardly does not matter. What is more important is that, in abiding there must be some quickening on the inside.

It’s the conviction of the heart that matters in studying and reading the Bible. The goal of abiding is to break through to a living, flourishing relationship with God. We should not just read the Bible and making appeals to God but to listen to His word, meditate on it, and to write down what He is speaking to you. Setting apart time for God to develop a meaningful relationship with Him far exceeds time allotted for other mundane things..

Psalm 27 is the psalm that touched me most when I first came to the Lord other than Psalm 23 because in Psalm 27:4 David expressed his desire for the time of abiding with the Lord. Setting aside quality time makes a difference. I would rather focus my time to wait upon the Lord and move forward than to dwell on the crisis that I know I can’t solve.

To me, drawing close to listen to the Lord takes priority because it’s through Him we can overcome and through Him signs and wonders can take place. Submssion to the Lord’s timing and testing should take priority in every aspect of our life.

Waking up early in the morning at a significant time and in a place where where there are no distractions, cause you to think, study, talk to God aloud with much clarity and weeping at times. Such quality time empowers you to breaking through to a meaningful relationship with Him.

Today I heard the Lord saying that though in the natural you maybe facing winter, yet He can change your season to spring and send you grain, new wine and oil enough to satisfy you and you will no longer be the subject of scorn. He will drive your enemies from you. Verse 19. Do you believe? If you do, receive your blessings today..

Last night I dreamt God telling me that He will astound His people with wonders. Even when your enemy attacks you suddenly, without any effort from your side, He will deliver you suddenly. He is full of surprises. This dream I am sure assures you not to fear for He is about to turn your barreness to fruitfulness and sending you the autumn and spring rains like before. Once again you will be filled with plenty and God will pour out His new wine and oil. You will have abundance of food to eat and be full. Verses 21-26.
