John 8:32

32  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Today’s Inspiration: Anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Therefore Apostle James advised that we must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. James 1:19-20. An angry, quick-tempered person can intimidate a person into submission out of fear but his anger will never change his hearts. The devil will tend to control through intimidation and fear. God imparts truth that sets people free. John 8:32.

The devil always enticed us to anger. Proverbs 16:32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who captures the city. To be angry is not a sin if it is for the right reason but to lose control of our anger without addressing it might lead to bitterness which is a poison to our soul. Harbouring for long period of time without addressing with the person is pride and can build up like steam in a boiler. If there is no relief valve on a boiler, it will become a bomb leading to destruction. We must not give the devil an opportunity. Ephesians 4:27.

Proverbs 29:11 A fool always loses his temper but a wise man holds him back. How many people have regretted walking out on you because they cannot control their temper?

Do not get into carnality because it is enmity against God. The devil is all out to work on our carnal nature and feed on our flesh, and is seeking to bind us and use us for his own crafty, evil schemes.

If there are people around you, who are prone to opposition at any word they hear through carnality, this is a serious character flaw that is disruptive to the organisation and those around them. It is best to isolate from them as they can be cancerous to the Body of Christ. That does not mean we cannot reason. We must not mix with those who are easily argumentative at almost every statement we make. This is different from those who deeply examine the situation and reason. Isaiah 1:18. Come let us reason together. If we are prone to anger, we need to truly work out this character flaw as it will not help lead us to righteousness. On the contrary it will cause divisions which Apostle Paul wrote against it to the Corinthian church. 1 Corinthians 1:10. He advised them to be United in mind and thought and to have the mind of Christ v16.

Let our words be few. The more the words the less the meaning and how then can we profit anyone if our words are meaningless. Ecclesiastes 6:11. Likewise words spoken in anger inflict hurt to both parties and don’t profit anyone. Therefore do not be quickly provoked in your spirit for anger rest in the lap of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:9 . God be praised!
