30 “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
And he who [a]wins souls is wise.12 They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, but shall not find it.
Today’s Inspiration: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of Life. He who wins souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30. Righteousness requires unlimited obedience. God created men to be in His image obedient to our Father’s will, without wavering that qualifies them to be righteous and bear fruit. Adam and Eve were prohibited from eating the fruit from the tree of Life that was planted in the middle of the garden. God gives them freedom of choice to test their hearts. They need to choose to believe God’s word to the letter. However, the deception was too much for Eve to resist. Satan was very subtle. He took advantage of Eve’s weakest point of her life to deceive her to breach God’s commandment. The tree that was planted in the middle of the garden had it’s significance.
Most of us once we reach mid life which is one of complacency having accomplished great things for ourselves, crisis seems to unfold. Hence we need to make the right choice. A lot of seeds of the word is planted in us daily. We must cultivate the good seeds and uproot the tares and weeds planted in us, so that God’s word remains to bear fruit. But on most occasions, we unknowingly allow the tares and weeds to be hidden hoping to deal with them another time when we have attained what we have set out to accomplish. By the time we realise it, it’s too late when the flesh starts to manifest in our life.
When crisis comes, we tend to think that God is angry with us and allow the devil to deceive us that we have done something offensive to God. This is all the lies of the devil who had been a liar from the very beginning. John 8:44.
Trials are disciplines from the Lord to catch our attention, and to slow us down when we are getting a little bit more ambitious than we should. He may also been dealing with our spiritual pride or has a new assignment for us. If God does not create a crisis, we must be concerned because we are pleasing to Satan. God disciplined us to test our faith, our love and our devotion. This test is for us to grow into His nature and character and His will for us. Bearing the true fruit is what God desires of us.
If we are not disciplined, then we are His illegitimate son. For whom the Lord loves He disciplined, and He scourges every son whom He receives. Heb 12:6. He chastened us so that we can partake of His Holiness. V10. The main purpose of the test is to produce a peaceable fruit of righteousness for those who are trained by it. V11.
All of God’s tests are for our learning and to live by the discipline and principles God had laid down for us. Running from the test is not recommended. It took the Israelites 40 years to take Egypt out of them but it took God one day to deliver them out of Egypt. Finally because they were not patient to follow the wisdom of their leader, they died in the wilderness without seeing the Promised Land let alone inherit them.
For every test, we need to recognise and understand them and how we can use those tests to bear fruit for ourselves and for others. All of us are given a spiritual garden to cultivate. Are you cultivating or are you just dependent on God to do for you? God wants your partnership. He wants to fellowship with you every day to cultivate it to be fruitful and to alert us of the little foxes that might spoil the vine that might have tender grapes. Songs 2:15. Two are better than one because they have good rewards for their labor. Ecclesiastes 4:9.
So take advantage of your trials, and believe that God knows what is best for you in your next chapter of your life. Trials are meant for you to know God better and how you could align your heart with His heart. God be praised.
