Today’s Inspiration; What is your reflection today? Is your calling being held back by other voices like fear, insecurity, or inferiority? Many people give up along the way because their troubles do not seem to end. The nearer they get to Jesus, the more the problems. Yet Jesus says He is the way, He is the truth and the life. No one gets to the Father except through Him. John 14:6. What is hindering you from answering the call?
When God calls you out, He had a plan for you and you get excited. But you don’t know details of His plan. It’s the same with Abraham. He was asked to go to a land and to step out from Haran. Hebrews 11:8 he stepped out in obedience. He knew it’s better to follow God even though the journey is not going to be easy as it’s better to be in God’s presence than to live in illusion. Deep in his mind God is not calling him to the promised Land but to the God of promised Land who knows all about him even before the foundation of the world.
When we leave the country we should leave our old baggage behind – our Adamic nature, our thoughts, old deeds and actions behind. We must approach God full-heartedly. Our old inner self must be entirely be turned over to Him or we will land up contemplating ourselves and plunged into darkness.
Everything we do must be based on a vital relationship with Jesus or it will get us nowhere. John 15:1-5. When He called us, He expects us to go and bear fruits that last. V16. There are consequences for half-hearted attempt to approach God and to follow His leading.
Let’s avoid the dangerous path. It’s safer to follow His leading than ours. Have a closer Communion with Him to bear fruit. Make it your daily practice to draw truths from Him to guide your life. As much as you have to consume daily bread, you need daily bread of life -His word. Matthew 4:4. God be praised!
