Luke 9:62

62  But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Today’s Inspiration: We tend to look back into our past glory yet God’s way is never to go back to the plow (Luke 9:62) but to plow the new territories which you have just entered in obedience to God or new circumstance, which may seem difficult. Remember the end of a thing is better than the beginning. Ecclesiastes 7:8. We will struggle in the beginning because everything seems unfamiliar. All men of God goes through the same path. The promise of God is that He is doing a new thing in your life with new plans for 2020. Isaiah 43:18-19. In times like this, we should move forward. This is wisdom. Ecclesiastes 9:10.

Ecclesiastes 7:1 he talks about the importance of maintaining a good reputation before God rather than before men and we need to die daily in the flesh as he said the day of death is better than one’s birth for then when we do well, we receive a reward from God for living a righteous life at the end of our journey.

We are created for righteous living from the beginning of creation when He created men and everything that man needs and was satisfied with His creation on the sixth day. Genesis 1:31. How many reminders were given to us to obey His commandments – they are countless! Life has to be balanced. On the one hand we serve God, on the other hand we have to work out our life with Jesus, reflecting all that is said in His commandments and instructions against our behavior and attitude so that we can correct ourselves and be transformed from glory to Glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18. To not allow correction is deemed as pride biblically.

We may not enjoy difficult times but it is good for our soul. If we love a life of comfort, we would never reflect on the consequences of our choices. It’s our choices that determines our life’s destiny. Until we face difficulties and reflect before God, allowing Him to correct and change, we don’t achieve what God has planned for us. Unless we reproduce, we have not achieved. Idling life has no value.

There was a time in 1999 where God called me to the ministry. Though I obeyed and resigned from my job, I keep waiting upon the Lord and six months passed and I did not know what to do. It’s where God told me that if I don’t work I will not eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10. This is where I have to put my hands to the plow and not look back on my past glorious career which led to the ministry to the Nations today and the founding of TCC. It’s when you start to act, that God reveals more things to you and impart His anointing to do His will. If God has spoken to you, do not delay to act on His plan.
