11 The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish.
Today’s Inspiration: The house of the wicked will be destroyed but the tent of the upright will flourish! Proverbs 14:11. How true this statement is which occurs many times in the Bible, in particular the case of Mordecai, where patience and integrity paid off when the Lord caused the King to read the Book of Chronicles where it was recorded that Mordecai was the one who exposed the two officers who conspired to kill the King. Esther 6:1-2. It was not by accident but by Divine grace of God that the King discovered Mordecai was not honored for this honorable loyalty. Just when Haman was planning to go to the King to persuade him to hang Mordecai, he was called in to enquire what should be done for the man the King delights to honor. He did not realise that the King would honor Mordecai, and suggested the best honor in v6-9. V10 he was not to neglect anything he has recommended. What an embarrassment for him. It was the beginning of the down turn of the life of Haman which led to him being hanged onto the gallows set up by him for Mordecai in v9-10. Indeed a man with perverse heart does not prosper. He who builds a high gate invites destruction. Proverbs 17:19-20.
Is this applicable today? Biblical truth is eternal. God desires righteousness and truth from inside out. God exposed the hidden sins of men. What men meant for evil God has a righteous promise to fulfill in the lives His chosen one. God repeatedly asserts never to touch His anointed especially His favored nation. God grants triumph to those who meant good and destruction for the disobedient. He thwarts the plans of the crafty so that their hands achieve no success. Job 5:12. He catches the wise in their craftiness and the schemes of the Wily are swept away. V13.
Bible comes alive today not only in biblical times but also today. What we are facing today is a wake-up call not to be complacent even in times of prosperity but to be prepared for the spiritual war always against the enemy of our soul.
It is written that if we appeal to God and lay out our cause to Him, He will perform wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be numbered. V8-9. Therefore it’s time that we gather to pray today in this global day of prayer with the churches around the globe to pray against fear in 2 Timothy 1:7 and pray over psalm 91 and appeal to God to perform the impossible- the wiping out of the coronavirus, to prevent further spreading and to heal those afflicted and to reveal His purpose of allowing this global crisis. We declare Job 5:17-26. God asked us to hear this and it is true, therefore apply it to yourself in particular v18-19, “For He wounds but He also binds up, He injures but his hands also heals. From six calamities He will rescue you, in seven no harm will befall you.”
God is indeed a good God. He is preparing the great harvest and we must be prepared with our sickle. God desires diligence not lazy Christian. This is the word I received in my prayer for the universal church yesterday. Be joyful always, pray increasingly and unceasingly, giving thanks to God in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. God be praised!
