13 So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Today’s Inspiration: If you are running into difficulties and wonder if God has abandoned you, do remember God ‘s 2 promises today. It is written that no one can stand before you all the days of your life and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:5. The Second promise is that the land He has given you is a land that your God cared for the eyes of the Lord are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end. Deuteronomy 11:12. His promises will never return to you void without accomplishing His purposes for which they were sent for. Isaiah 55:11. All it takes from you is obedience of the great commandment in Deuteronomy 11:13.
It is important for us today to understand divine grace and divine favour. The reward for Divine grace is based on God’s sovereignty. No matter what you do, you cannot attain the grace. It’s all by His mercy. Divine favour can be earned through obedience to act. Joseph was able to have his prophecy fulfilled after 13 years of severe testing. Moses took 40 years to lead the people out of wilderness but God neither inflict the disease nor fail to provide for them.
You can ask for divine favour but it requires an act of obedience to receive that favour. Joseph had favour wherever he was placed. He neither complained but committed to God’s dealings. He knew God had His timing to fulfill the promise God had bestowed on Him.
All we need is to watch and pray. When you are in His right timing, you walk in His divine favour. Genesis 41.42-43. In v44 Pharaoh declares that without permission from Joseph, no one can act. Even when famine is severe, the Egyptians went to pharaoh for help, he told them to go to Joseph. V55. He did not bypass Joseph. He honoured his word. He knew he had to leave this huge assignment of God to a man who loved God and who has godly wisdom as worldly wisdom is of no use to a land of calamity.
We need godly wisdom to resolve issues in the land where only God has the answer. So plead to Him for mercy grace and divine favour. Diseases that are incurable are curable with God who does the impossible. Luke 1.37. God be praised!
