33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Today’s Inspiration: We often quote Matthew 6:33 but what is His kingdom and what is His righteousness? We need to examine closely. His kingdom is the spiritual realm in which God reigns. Jesus says Kingdom of God is within you meaning He lives and reign in your hearts. So if you put God first, you must let go of what others think of you. Give yourself a voice. Righteousness on the other hand is a chief attribute of God found in Deuteronomy 25:1, Psalm 1:6 and Proverbs 8:20. Uprightness is synonymous to righteousness described by God in Jobs character. Leviticus 19:36, Job 1:1.
Righteousness is being right in our relationship to others where a person’s actions is justified. He pursues peace wherever he goes.
Seeking Him first means to fulfill God’s will as priority and to become the person God created and formed you to be. We have to work on the process of transformation to be the person God wants us to be. Allow Him to guide you and lead you to paths of righteousness for His name sake. Psalm 23:3.
God’s eyes are going to and fro to look for people who are righteous and willing to take on new assignments even if it means taking on new assignments at risk or in the midst of uncertain times. God credited Abraham as righteous because he was willing to accept any challenge of God and was declared a father of Nations. Do not be a Jonah or God will catch up with you. It’s time you leave your lukewarm seat and takes great exploits for God. Daniel 11:32. We need to repent of lukewarmness. Revelation 3:16, 19. Let your vision be fulfilled in 2020 and expect great things from God. Seek God and His kingdom first and all be added unto you. God be praised!
