Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Today’s inspiration: Are you being threatened by what you see that emit deep fears inside you? It is in this situation that we need to seek God for direction and not to base on what we see. Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the substance that what we see is not real but still believe in what we hope for. Isaiah 11:3 tells us not to make decisions by what we hear nor judge by what we see. Whatever you fear will come to pass as Job proclaimed in Job 3:25.

King Hezekiah did not base on what he hears but based on what the Lord spoke through Isaiah. The Lord told him not to be afraid of what he has heard in 2 Kings 19:5. God can do the impossible for even a problem you feel seemed impossible to solve. God can always put a spirit to cause the enemy to flee in v7.

We need to change the way we think. The crown of thorns that Jesus wore was meant for our transformation from Adamic nature to the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ focused on everything that is good and noble. Phil 4.8. When we take God’s word of instruction this morning, digest them and let them penetrate deep into our thoughts. By so doing, what we dwell on will not happen to us. Instead, it will be replaced by God’s hopeful thoughts in Romans 5.4-5. Hope in God will not disappoint us.

When David was faced with a giant, he did not allow fear to take root but God’s word that gave him the confidence. He knew he could not conquer the giant on his word and on his understanding but only in the name of the Lord. You are a direct reflection of what you speak.

Like David, we must be able to draw the word out of our spirit to win the battle but your spirit must daily be deposited with God’s word. It is likened to our bank account. If we don’t deposit money, we cannot withdraw money from our ATM.

We must declare all is well like the woman in Elisha’s time even though her son is dead. We can call forth life from a dead situation. Romans 4:17. What seems hopeless, let’s call forth our adversity into life by quoting Isaiah 60:1 Let the situation arise and shine once again in Jesus name. Amen.
