27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that [a]moves on the earth.”
Today’s Inspiration: From the very beginning of time, God created man in His own image,, male and female to fulfill His plan. Even from the time of creation, He created and blessed Adam and Eve and commissioned them to be fruitful and multiply, reproduce and have Dominion over the whole Earth including birds of the air and over the fish of the sea and every living creature that moves on Earth. Genesis 1:27-28. He also tested their faith by giving a command that they are not to partake of the tree of knowledge of good and evil so that they would remain humble and yield to the spirit. Genesis 2:18. He even instructed them on oneness as a couple. He taught them on relationship with Him and with each other. Genesis 2:24, 3:8.
When He called Moses, it was for the sole purpose of being a deliverer of the Israelites who were being badly oppressed by the Pharaoh of Egypt and for Noah it is for the purpose of salvation. For Abraham it is for salvation of the whole world. Genesis 12:3. He was called to be father of Nations. When God has a mission in mind, He called a family to achieve His purpose. He placed the family of Noah in the Ark to preserve them for the destiny of Israel. He called Abraham to be witness to the whole world. Genesis 12:1,3. Abraham left with his family.
God knew the hearts of men and He chose them with a purpose. He chose those who loved Him and who had faith even as small as a mustard seed to move mountains to take great exploits without wavering. Mark 11:23.
God is always watching over our lives and will not test us beyond our abilities. 1 Corinthians 10:13. He knows what we are capable of as all our gifts, talents and abilities are planted by Him. When He called, He will give all the provisions we need to accomplish His purpose.
When God called Abraham, it was to form one family that will eventually make up of children from every tribe, tongue and nation. From the very beginning His purpose is to produce one family to believe in the Messiah-Jews and Gentiles. That family forms the Olive tree that is representative of Israel. Romans 11:23-24. Though Sarah’s decision was a mistake, behind it was God’s purpose to reach even the Gentiles of the whole world.
We are to love God and have the faith like Abraham. Abraham is sensitive to the voice of God and never hesitated to obey the voice of God notwithstanding the obstacles and terror that was before Him. He trusted God fully. A Christian Life is a life of faith followed by belief. When faith is put into action, the promises are manifested. Jesus heals also based on people’s faith.
Hebrews 11:1 faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. This faith substance is something that is very challenging especially when we are faced with an impossible situation where everything that prevails shows us no hope. This is where we need knowledge of the mystery of God both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all treasures of the wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2. It’s this Revelation that delivers Job from the calamity and incurable boils. Job 42:3, 5.
What do you think God is calling you to do? When He calls He gives a plan and strategies. In times of crisis, do you seek the Lord for the reason behind the trial so that you can act and overcome by faith. Faith without works is dead. James 2:26. May God circumcise your heart to His righteousness today! It’s our faith and belief in God without wavering that credited us to be righteous like Abraham. God be praised.
