2 Samuel 23:3
3 “The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me: ‘He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.”
Today’s Inspiration: God is our strength and power. He makes our ways perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and sets me on high places and teaches my hands to battle. 2 Samuel 22:23-25. Who can be like Him? The Lord Almighty desires that those who rules over men be just, ruling in the fear of God. 2 Samuel 23:3.
Our God is a God of order. He waits for the right timing to intervene. He is in no hurry to resolve an issue and His ways are always righteous. He sends miracles beyond our comprehension to those who believe. Those who do not believe suffer consequences. Whatever we do on Earth are recorded in the book of remembrance in heaven. Therefore it is not what we are compelled to do that makes a difference but to do what is deemed right in the eyes of the Lord.
For 40 years He sustained the Israelites in the wilderness. They lacked nothing and their clothes do not wear out. Neither do their feet swell. Nehemiah 9:21. Blessed be His glorious name which is exalted above all blessing and praise. He knows every heart. Nothing can be hidden from Him. Yet He is merciful as He longs to be in Communion with His people. His love is not only unique but redemptive. Loving others is loving our neighbor and this is visible evidence of our relationship to God. Everything in Jesus’ life reveals an unlimited love of neighbor which was consistent with the perfect love of His Father. We not only are to perform the model of a good Samaritan but also the model of a good shepherd. And His model must become the mandate of our lives. This way many will be attracted to desire to know Jesus and to follow Him.
Prayer: Lord may I model Jesus in my lifestyle that I might capture a larger sphere of influence for the Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
