Romans 8:5-6

5  For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Today’s Inspiration: Why do we find difficulty in shaking off indwelling sin? This is because we live according to the flesh. If we live according to the flesh, we have not changed our label from Adam to Christ. To be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:5-6.

If you live according to the flesh, you cannot have self-control and are still in bondage to fear. In Christ, you are free from the bondage to fear. Verse 15.

Unless you deny self, you cannot take up Christ’s cross and follow Him. We live with flesh but we don’t walk in the flesh but in the spirit. Unless you walk in the spirit, it is not possible to change the present situation you are in and you cannot come to terms with your past. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

I am not talking about changing your childhood story. I am saying you needn’t have to hang onto the past but give your past events to Jesus and walk in the newness of life through His word. Philippians 3.13. You will have cyclical problems if you keep living the story that your earlier years had set for you. You must choose to believe what God says in His word and not the condemning words of your past. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1.

Until you resist the lies of your past, you cannot perform what God has destined you to do. James 4:7. Do not miss your calling. When you walk into your calling, you see success as long as you are guided by the Truth. Joshua was successful because God calls him to lead the people to possess the land of Canaan. He did not base on his past experience with Moses and the Israelites to fear but he based it on the calling and guided by the truth to meditate on His word to be strong and courageous and in order to prosper and be successful. Joshua 1:6, 8-9. With these principles, Joshua emerged as the spiritual champion possessing the lands of Canaan as inheritance for the 12 tribes. His fullest obedience brought even the elders of the congregation to abide in him and follow his leading.

You need to relabel yourself and write a new story of yourself this time on your journey with God based on God’s destiny and calling for you. God be praised.
