Matthew 23:27

27  “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity.

Today’s Inspiration: God’s commandment is to obey and do everything what He tells us and practise what we preach. Man tend to perform for people to see. Matthew 23:3-5. Jesus rebuked teachers of the Law and the Pharisees that they looked beautiful on the outside but full of dead bones on the inside. Jesus was actually pointing out that they appear righteous but inside of them they are full of hypocrisy and wickedness. V27. Man looks externally but God looks more on the inside of our heart. 1 Samuel 6:7.

God sees David a man after God’s heart and direct Samuel to anoint him as king to replace king Saul. Ezekiel tells us we need a new heart and a new spirit once we are born again. Ezekiel 36:26. Apostle Paul tells us a born again believer must have a renewed mind. Romans 12:2.

Promotion is from the Lord. He promotes according to His Evaluation of our heart. God always deals with the condition of our heart before He could release us from the trial. When God is silent, pruning is here. To quit will be losers. Jesus was testing the strength of the Canaanite woman’s faith before He can heal her demonized daughter. Matthew 15:21-28. Jesus was actually explaining to His audience that it is not an Israelite that is of natural descent that he came for but those who believe and put their trust in Him that matters most to Him. He ultimately granted her request for the healing of her daughter.

Two things that cause Jesus to break His silence was her worship of God at a time of trial despite Jesus’ rejection and disciples’ insults. She never gave up pleading for mercy and finally the wisdom of God calls the tune.

Matthew 23:12 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Because she was ready to be in the lowliest position she received the highest praise from Jesus on her faith. It is always Jesus principle to heal us according to the level of our faith.
