35 “…And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Today’s Inspiration: Have you ever sit down and reflect the emotional baggages you have accumulated in all the years of your life? Each problem you face today, you add to the weight of emotional baggage you are carrying. Your emotional baggage from the past will not be detached from you until you discover when and how you learn these reactions and under what circumstances and to uproot them to change your day to day thought life. So it is important you know the truth so that you can be set free. Allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of your past reactions especially those of childhood. John 8:32. Give priority to renewal of your mind. Romans 12:2.
This is such a simple truth that hinders our progress in life. It appears simple but to keep them in subjection is so difficult. Your past is not a past. You may think you have forgiven your offender but the experiences of your past is hidden in subconscious memory which now has become a stronghold. These are the strongholds that satan is taking advantage of to ruin your relationships. 2 Corinthians 10:5.
No one can bail us out. First we ourselves must be willing to yield to the Holy spirit’s conviction to pluck them out. Secondly we must be willing to change our thought life by not reacting to hurtful remarks of others but hand them to Jesus to crucify them. Not forgiving the offender is toxic to our soul leaving us in a worser situation that led to more afflictions.
Instead we should thank God who always lead us in triumph in Christ Jesus and through us diffused the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14. Our attitude, behaviour and character must be Christlike before we can attract our loved ones and friends to Christ. Verse 15.
Appraisals and humility outweigh criticism, slandering and boastfulness.
