35 “ He turns a wilderness into pools of water, and dry land into watersprings.
36 There He makes the hungry dwell, that they may establish a city for a dwelling place,
37 And sow fields and plant vineyards, that they may yield a fruitful harvest.”
Today’s Inspiration: It’s in the Sovereignty of the Lord to turn rivers into desert and desert land into a fruitful land where we can yield a bountiful harvest. Psalm 107:35-37. God bless you to be a blessing to others.
Man tend to accumulate money and possessions because they provide a feeling of security against the uncertainties of the future but even at their best, riches are uncertain. They give no real security for the present world and absolutely none for the eternal world. Man had no control of his life neither control of his wealth. Our greatest security and insurance is God.
If we store up treasures for ourselves we stand to lose everything. Naked we come naked we go. The Lord’s advice is to store up treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is there your heart be also. Matthew 6:20-21. Be content in all circumstances is His advice to us for it is the product of trust in His character and His promise.
Giving is the way to flee from covetousness and to develop contentment. We must make deliberate choice to employ resource for others and not just for ourselves. We need to develop a lifestyle of limits, cultivate generosity not greed and invest in the eternal not temporal. Pray for a kingdom project that will inspire the investment of your treasure.
Prayer: Father guide me to spend more time working on my inner life thinking and working on our future character that yield eternal rewards. You are more than enough for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
