6 “So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
Today’s Inspiration: As I sought the Lord this morning, the word ARISE keeps popping up. Its time to arise and shine for Jesus. Apostle Paul was stricken by the Lord when He tried persecuting the believers and was struck blind. What do you think was in his thoughts? You can do nothing without the Lord. John 15:4-5. The Bible says he was trembling and astonished and asked Him what He wants him to do. The instruction was to ARISE and go to the city. Acts 9:6.
The men travelling with him were speechless hearing a voice but see no one. He was blind for three days. Verses 7-8. Meantime God spoke to Ananias to ARISE and heal his sight. Verse 11. Apostle Paul had the same vision of Ananias laying his hands on him and he received the sight. This scenario shows God’s bountiful mercy on His children.
You may be wondering why you are hit with critical illness and why the demonic oppression stubbornly stays with you. Until you come to terms with God, you will be bound. Because Apostle Paul was His chosen vessel to spread the Good News to the Gentiles and has to suffer for His Name’s sake he was healed. Until w are willing to change to submission and have the fruit of the spirit in Galatians 5:22-23 and come to terms with God we can never be healed. Our healing is in His sovereignty.
We can never have our own ways if God has plans for our life. The way out of deliverance is submission and obeying. The other alternative to get out of demonic oppression is to come to God who will heal you on His terms. Verses 15-16.
Rebellion will get us nowhere. It is like the sin of witchcraft. 1 Samuel 15:23. People can never forget our past. But God looks beyond our past. He used our past to transform us to be a vessel of honour for His glory. Ananias and all the disciples were afraid of Paul when they saw him. It was only Barnabas a man of faith who took him to the Apostles where he narrated his encounter. Verses 26-27.
The message today is not to dwell in the past but to ARISE and shine for His glory. Every soul is a precious jewel to God. If you opened up a pomegranate, you will see countless seeds that looks like sparkling jewels. God considers His children as previous jewels. God wants us to shine for Him. Whatever is within you, God will use. Even the talents that you have which no one noticed, God will empower them and use for His glory in His time. We cannot fight against God but certainly can work with Him with amazing results.
Are you struggling within yourself right now and are uncertain of your future? May the words today encourage you! Come to terms with God, commit your plans to Him and let Him fine tune them and you will succeed. Proverbs 16.3. God has far better plans than you could ever imagine. His plans is always to prosper your spirit, your soul and your body. Jeremiah 29.11, 3 John 2. He is waiting for your submission. God be praised!
