1 Corinthians 2:11
11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
Today’s Inspiration: The ultimate prerogative to heal the Nations is all in the hands of God who knows the hearts and minds of all men. 1 Corinthians 2:11. All we have to do is to pray for God to demonstrate His power to the Nations.
Isaiah prophesied that it shall come to pass that before we call, God will answer and while we are still speaking, He will hear. Isaiah 65:24. This truth at that time seems impossible a task like what we are facing now. Yet God is an eternal God. He is our Lord God from the beginning to the end. His approach is a timeless truth.
This truth was demonstrated in Acts 12 of which we know the story of how the angel came to Peter in prison, waking him up to arise quickly and follow Him by cutting off his chains from the guards on both sides v7-10 whilst the church was still in prayer in the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark. V12. Even when Peter knocked at the door, Rhoda who could recognise Peter’s voice informed the intercessors, they could not believe until Peter continued knocking at the door, and spoke much to their astonishment. V13-16. This fulfilled what Prophet Isaiah said in earlier scripture. Like the disciples of Jesus in first day church, even in the midst of prayer of God’s people, He performed miracles in mysterious ways which is contrary to our expectation. How many souls were saved in this coronavirus? Only God knows as no communication is allowed to get in to pray. Yet God can still perform wonders through doctors, nurses and cleaners even servers to touch them with the love and compassion of Jesus to recover.
This is a time of separation from the world where we all have to shut ourselves at home. It’s a good test to God’s people to either grow in the fear of the Lord or to stay away doing things we desire to do. This is a time where we need to pray that things will get back to normal and God will take this time to visit us to transform our thoughts to touch God’s heart like David do and to realise that God is indeed a consuming fire. Whatever has to be shaken will be shaken. It’s like a sifting season for us by Jesus as we enter the season of Passover. Even in crisis, God’s word can grow and multiply like the days of first church Acts 12:24.
If God can do during the church age, all the more He can do now as He has made available to us online communication of the Gospel. Will he not multiply salvation and finances even more in these last days if we will diligently seek Him.
Let us believe that God’s righteousness in us will stop the pandemic. During biblical times, the plague was stopped through sacrifices like David did and through intervention of Phinehas whom God accounted as righteous to stop the plague and it stopped. Psalm 106:30-31.
God is a merciful God. Let’s pray that God might account us righteous to stop the pandemic. God be praised!
