6 The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me.
Today’s Inspiration: David gave thanks to God for Deliverance from death. Psalm 116:1-2, 8. As servant of the most high God, He has loosed our bonds. V16. True freedom comes from pursuing Christ and doing His will. This is the greatest freedom we can have because Christ is our Lord, the ultimate benevolent King. He knows what is good for us.
Freedom is not the ability to do whatever we want. Such freedom leads to bondage. Why God keeps us from freedom of doing certain things is because if we make those choices we will be hurt and will lead us to further bondage which might end in death. How many times have we escaped death because of His protection of us by not answering our prayers?
Our mission in life is that Christ might increase in our life. This was the desire of John the Baptist. John 3:30. What he meant is that we must be so filled with Christ that the fleshy nature could be crucified. It is not about emptying ourselves but our goal is to believe in Christ and behold the glory of God that we be transformed from glory to Glory like Moses. 2 Corinthians 3:18. Change comes through going to the secret place of prayer to soak in His presence to be filled by the spirit that flesh will not assert itself and self ambition be exterminated.
We need to be thankful for every trial that brings forth a change in our life that enabled us to hear Him and grow in Him. Ephesians 4:15.
All our trials most be transformed into a glorious victory as no one can stand before us all the days of our lives as He promised Joshua in Joshua 1:5 and it is for our activation as well. We know that God always causes all things to work together for good as we love God and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28. God be praised!
