27 “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
Today’s Inspiration: Do not labour for the food which perishes but for the food which endures to everlasting life…John 6:27. Life has to be balanced. Just as we need the physical food to nourish our physical body, we need spiritual food to nourish our spirit and our soul to grant us divine health. As the soul prospers so will your health and everything you do prospers. 3 John 2. So seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness that all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
What a promise from God! God is awesome. He never allow us to perish but comes to the rescue at the nick of time. It’s all by His grace and mercy. He knows us even before He knit all the delicate, inner parts of our body and knit us together in our mother’s womb. He watched us formed in utter seclusion as we are woven together in the darkness of the womb. He saw us before we were born. Everyday of our life was recorded in His book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:13-16. How intricate our body can be! How awesome is His works!
He had made man perfect but they have sought out many schemes most of the times to their hurt. Ecclesiastes 7:29.
We have not heeded His wise counsel not to judge by what we see nor make decisions by what we hear. Isaiah 11:3. The will of our Father is just to believe in Jesus and whatever we do to glorify Him. No one can come to you unless God draws them to you. It’s all in His hands. Even our time is in His hands. Self- righteousness will have to bow when confronted with Jesus. There are things that cannot be purchased with money – our health for instance. So why pursue things that perishes when our life span God commanded to be 70 or 80?
Beware of the suddenlies that hit you until you could not lift up your head. Many did not heed the warning of the suddenlies since the turn of the century and have suffered casualties. We need to live from day to day clinging to the Lord who place His hand of blessing on us daily and knows everything of us even when we sit and stand up including our thoughts even when we are at a distance. He knows every detail that we do and know what we are going to say even before we open our mouth. Psalm 139:1-5. He told the disciples He will be with them up to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20. Hence He sees everything we do.
There is no God like Him. Whatever we do must please Him. He knows what we are going through and will make everything beautiful in His time. Therefore work your life with Him to shorten the chastening period.
