Psalm 31:23-24

23  Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud person.

24 Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Today’s Inspiration: We need to have the right perceptive of God and know the extent of His love. Have hope in Him even in times of adversity, strengthen your heart, and place your hope in Him. He is faithful and just and in due time will hear the voice of your supplications when you cry out to Him. So be of good courage. Love the Lord your God for He preserved the faithful. Psalm 31:23-24.

Our problem today is that we tend to think that riches, wealth and intellect would be enough to solve every problem even though it is important for survival. When it comes to battling an invincible sickness or disease, money and wealth is not enough. King Asa with all his wealth and riches could not sustain the disease on his feet he was inflicted with because of his folly of oppression towards the end days of his life on Earth. He looked to only physician 2 Chronicles 16:12 instead of the Lord Jehovah Rapha who could heal him. Exodus 15:26.

It is when our strength fail that we need to lean on God. It is those who depend on God solely for strength to press on towards the goal of great exploits and advancing forward who will begin to see that the strength that they thought were enough for them to forge ahead with their wealth of riches, experience and intellect, cannot be compared with the strength God vested in them when they lean on His strength.

Our problem today is that we tend to think that riches, wealth and intellect would be enough to solve every problem even though it is important for survival. We may seem healed medically but what will complete the healing process would be healing of our reactions. If we fail to maintain our healing reactions, our wounds will keep festering and the diseases keep returning. This is why many people keep having the same medical problems again and again. When our problems are cyclical, we seem to be what God told Moses not to keep going round the mountain but to depart and keep going as the inheritance He has for the Israelites is before them.

The reason why we do not want to go to unfamiliar territories is because the terrain is rough and the journey is tough but God wants you to have new experiences all the time so that you can grow in the knowledge of Him. Without testing, you will be mastered by the world and not subject to His authority. It’s the submission to His authority that you can free yourself from the chains of the enemy. James 4:7. Only the fruit of the spirit demonstrated by your behavior and attitudes towards others through your devotion to God that can cause you to resist the enemy so that they can flee from you.

To fear from falling instead of turning to God is like a drowning man who refused to be rescued because of fear of falling. No one wants to go on a tiresome journey because of expectation of tough times yet it’s the tough times we are experiencing that forms our character and appreciate God’s love for us that whilst we were still sinners, His great love for us caused Him to lay down His life for us. Romans 5:8. We have to therefore cling onto God dearly for it’s only He who can set us free as you gently hear His soft whisper in your ear, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ Isaiah 41:10. I will be with you up to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20.

What we need at this moment of time is to understand the depth of God’s love for us. God would only meet you at the point of your total surrender to Him. He meets you only when you are at the edge of the cliff where you have no choice but to turn back to Him and tell Him that you are willing to let Him guide and lead. God loves a teachable and receptive spirit. James says that if anyone of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, who willingly gives to all men liberally. Jame 1:5.

Therefore be a living example of Christ so that more unsaved will see Christ in you and want to be with you. God resists the prideful but gives grace to the humble. Be submissive to one another and be clothed with humility at all times. James 5.5. Love God and love each other. That is our mission on Earth that we be effective witness for Christ. God be praised.
