The Lord Redeems His Servant (Isa 48:20)
Shalom Peace be with you in Christ Jesus!
*Deuteronomy 15:6 – For the LORD your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.*
I wonder why this has not been a reality in my life till I come to Trinity Community Centre Singapore (TCC) after recovering from the truth of email scam that caused my wife and I to be a victim. At TCC I learnt that fighting the good fight of faith, laying hold on eternal life to which I am called and confessing words of edification as well as pursuing righteousness, holiness, faith, love, patience and gentleness is all that I need to be eligible to God’s promises. In short, obedience is better than sacrifices. With obedience I can eat the best of the land. (Isa 1:18 & 1 Sam 15:22).
The cry of the preacher not to allow the love of money which is the root of all kinds of evil in 1 Timothy 6:10 fell on deaf ears when the enemy is at work and we are unable to discern which is likened to our antibody’s inability to identify our immune cells resulting in it attacking our body instead. This is how Cancer comes in apart from fear, anxiety and stress.
1 Timothy 6:10 highlights the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil and in v17 to command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty and not to trust in uncertain riches but in the Living God who gives us richly of things to enjoy. We are to live simply and staying humble at all times and to trust the Lord our God with all our heart is His command.
Whilst I was working in an electronics distributorship company as a warehouse assistant near TCC, I could not resist a contract given to me which pays me $100 a week, which I never realised would have placed me in greater ordeal than the email scam.
Indeed, we cannot serve two masters. It is written in Matthew 6:24 that “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.*
I thought it was a provision from the Lord. It was not an issue of getting rich this time but an issue to make ends meet as my wife has no job since the scam and I had to repay a huge debt from creditors.
On 18th December the issue came to the light. There are nothing concealed that will not be disclosed or hidden that will not be made known. Luke 12:3 v5 We need to fear God who, after He has killed has power to cast into hell, yes, fear Him! V6 Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.
My mom and I reported to Ang Mo Kio Police Station after finding out the genuineness of the visit of the two plain clothes police man. To my horror, when I was ushered in the room for questioning, they treated me like a criminal and handcuffed me several times and did DNA Blood test and like the TV drama they took three dimensional photo similar to that they usually take for criminals. It was traumatic. A sense of remorse overwhelmed me , and fear took me captive. I started repenting and asked God for forgiveness for not abiding to His command and robbing Him of tithes all these years and uttered that I do not want to be like John the Baptist in the Bible.
Five days after the incident, 23rd Dec 2017 I went for Father Me Healing at TCC, where I was delivered from fears, shame and forgiveness upon myself and those who reported falsely against me. I knew God had a reason behind all this ordeal. The investigation took three months and every night before I went to bed, my wife and I went on our knees praying the Prophetic Profitable prayer book (PPP) written by Rev Alicia Teo declaring the prayer on divine favour, prosperity, court case and breakthrough. I also prayed Ps 51, 1, 127 and Romans 16:20. I was actually on the verge of building a family altar of prayers with my wife and was not able to start till I was compounded with this charge by the Police.
Notwithstanding the trials, my wife and I did not give up serving the Lord. I knew God was actually humbling both of us. My utmost thanks to God for Rev Alicia who constantly interceded for me. She shared with me that in November 2017 she was alerted to pray for me as the Lord revealed that I would be involved in a police case as he saw a vision of two policemen. I also learnt the lesson that you cannot use the name of God in vain and I have since stopped speaking “God said…” She encouraged me throughout these three months and in the month of February, quoted a verse which she repeatedly quoted in Judges 15:16 where Samson grabbed hold of a jawbone of a donkey and with it killed a thousand men. I believe God would have revealed to her that my case is closed.
Hallelujah! On 13th March afternoon, I received a phone call from Ang Mo Kio Police station’s inspector confirming that my case is closed and this was reinforced in writing on 14th March. I give God all glory for His intervention and for Ps Darien, Ps Francis and Sis Irene whom I initially confided and some of the leaders in my Church who are aware of my case and who have fervently been interceding for God’s mercy and grace.
God’s ways are indeed higher than our ways. Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord. Though they join forces none will go unpunished. Pro 16:5. A man’s heart plans his way but the Lord directs his steps. Verse 7 When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Verse 19 Better to be of a humble spirit within the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
What a painful and traumatic lesson! Yet God does not forsake His righteous. Doing His will is all that we need.
